Welcome to Saylo ("we," "our," or "us"). Saylo is an on-device calorie-and-macro tracker that lets users log meals via text or voice and view their personal trends—all without creating an account or sending data off the device. Your privacy is our priority.

Important: This data is completely anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally. We do not collect:

Any personal information

A random identifier is generated locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. This identifier cannot be used to identify you or track you across other apps or websites.

- All data is stored 100% on your device in an encrypted local database.
- No data is ever backed up to or synced with our servers.
No Third-Party Sharing
- We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with anyone.
Subscription & Entitlements
- RevenueCat is used solely for checking and managing in-app subscription entitlements. Receipt validation happens locally; no subscription data is sent to our servers.

5. Permissions

Saylo requests only the permissions strictly necessary for its functionality:

- Purpose: On-device speech recognition to convert meal descriptions into text.
- We do not record, transmit, or store any raw audio files.
No Other Permissions
- Saylo does not access Contacts, Location, Camera, HealthKit, Photos, or any other sensitive APIs.

6. Data Security

All local data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database within your app's sandbox.
We follow best practices for iOS data protection (Data Protection API, File Protection classes).
In-app Reset: You can delete all stored data at any time via the "Reset App" option in Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Saylo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us immediately to have that data removed.

We may update this policy as our app evolves. We will note the revision date at the top. Your continued use of Saylo after changes signifies your acceptance of the updated terms.
